Tameside and Glossop: changes in health provision

From April 2011 onwards the health services previously provided by NHS Tameside and Glossop are being transferred to other NHS organisations. Services will not be disrupted and patients should expect to see the same member of staff at the usual place.

Your health records

Responsibility for the records of your care in the community will be transferred to the new NHS organisation and will remain secure and confidential. Note that your GP records are not affected.

Access to your information is strictly controlled and only given to those who need to know. Everyone working in the NHS has a legal duty to keep information about you confidential, and we will only pass on information about you if it is needed for your treatment and care and is in your and everyone’s interest.
