You now have the right to choose

You have decided with your GP that you are going to see a specialist for further treatment. You can now choose where to have your treatment from a list of at least four local hospitals or clinics.

Finding Your Local Hospital Choices

1. Find out what your choices are
   Talk to your GP or local support services about the choices that are available to you and where you can get more information and support.
2. Get the information you need
   Our hospital information pages should give you the information you need to help you make your choice.
3. Talk it through with someone else
   You may want to discuss your choices with family or friends, especially if you are going to need their help with travel arrangements or care after your treatment
4. Weigh up the pros and cons
   Consider your needs and compare each hospital using the information you have, bearing in mind what is most important to you.
5. Book your appointment
   You will be advised how to book your hospital appointment. Once you have decided where you want to go, follow this guidance. And don't be afraid to ask if you need help with booking an appointment.
