INTRODUCTION
The Integrated Service for Children with Additional Needs is an integrated team comprising of Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Complex Needs Nursing Services, Paediatricians, Dietetics, Social Care, Behaviour Support Services, and Early Support Services.
The service is provided for children who have a disability and who require the input of two or more services in addition to universal service provision. These children will usually have significant and or complex needs.
Referrals can be made using the Integrated Service Referral Form, along with any supporting evidence you may have.
Assessment is child and family focussed. Families may be offered a lead professional/key worker who will ensure that children receive appropriate interventions when needed, which are well planned, regularly reviewed and effectively delivered.
Children who require a single service response from Paediatric Physiotherapy or Children’s Occupational Therapy should also be referred via this route.
