Introduction
The stroke rehabilitation unit is a community 24-hour establishment dedicated to the rehabilitation of people who have had a stroke.
It has different disciplines working within the unit, including Nurses, Therapists and Doctors. The unit admits from the age of 18, with the aim of improving peoples function and level of independence.
It also aims to offer support to carers and relatives. This involves close liaison and working with other services such as the Acute Trust, Social Services, other PCT teams and voluntary sector.

- To maintain your dignity and privacy throughout your stay
- To provide a safe and clean environment
- To facilitate a timely and safe discharge from the unit
- To offer support and advice as required
