Taking regular physical activity and exercise can significantly improve your general health and well-being*. However, if you lead an inactive life you could be at greater risk of a variety of negative health conditions. These include**:

As little as 30 mins of moderate activity each day can improve your health.
Many people may feel that they have to take part in intense physical activity such as running or walking out at eh gym to improve their health. however, the greatest health gains can be made when you begin to acheive 30 minutes or more of moderate physical activity each day.
Moderate intensity activity is easily acheivable and will get you warm and mildly out of breath. Activities include:
- Brisk walking
- Gardening
- Swimming
- Cycling
- Dancing
- Social sporting activities
30 minutes of physical activity can be taken in a single bout, or spread throuoghout the day in smaller ten or fifteen minute bouts.
Regular physical activity can also help you to lose weight, reduce the cravings for nicotine and lower your levels of stress.
